Post Graduation in Information and Security Management

• Obtaining skills to understand the various stages of the information production cycle;
• Understanding, analysis and investigation of the process(es) of Globalization;
• Demonstration of knowledge of intelligence and information gathering and data analysis techniques;
• Promotion of decision support capabilities enhanced by the use of knowledge management processes, Competitive and Business Intelligence;

The course lasts for two academic semesters. Classes start in February and end in December of the same year, and are held after work (from 6:30 pm), twice a week.

The Study Plan​​ for this course consists of 60 ECTS, which correspond to the following curricular units:

Spring semester

• Information Services and Political Regimes

• Regional Dynamics of Security and Defense
• Economic and Competitive Intelligence
• Analysis and Foresight Methodology and Techniques​
• Structured Analytical Techniques for Information Analysis​

This postgraduate degree is intended for graduates in any compatible area who wish to acquire security studies and strategic studies skills or update their knowledge and explore new perspectives, given current theories and themes.​

Among the potential recipients of this postgraduate degree are those who have responsibilities in the areas of information and security, in particular, elements of the security forces and services, the military, managers who work in areas of decision-making support and competitive intelligence​ ​and technicians from NGOs, other technicians from the public administration with responsibility in terms of information management.​
