​​​​​​The Intensive Security and Defence Course (CISD) is part of the Decentralized Security and National Defence Days, which take place annually, aiming to cover all regions of the national territory, especially those that are farthest from the decision centres.

The course aims to promote debate and reflection on current issues in the field of security and defence and is aimed at all those interested in deepening knowledge in these areas, including entities and institutions representing civil society in the region where the course is held.

​The CISD aims to promote debate and reflection on issues in the field of security and defence and is intended for all those interested in deepening their knowledge in these areas, namely entities and institutions representing civil society in the region where they are held, to cover all areas of the national territory, especially those that are further away from decision-making centres.​​​


• Promoting knowledge and enlightened reflection on security and defence issues.​

​The CISD occurs during after-work hours, generally between Monday and Thursday.

The Decentralized Conferences on National Security and Defense, which the course is part of, begin with an opening conference that will form part of the course program, including conferences, panels and/or debates with the participation of renowned national experts. Whenever possible, the course includes visits to military units, establishments or agencies in the region in question.​

Participation is mandatory in all activities included in the CISD program of activities.​

Recipients of this course are institutional candidates and individual candidates.​

The IDN, in conjunction with partner institutions - City Council and higher education institution in the chosen location - will address invitations to local administration and entities and institutions representing civil society.​

​​

According to the allocated vacancies, admission prevails for institutional applications.



​​

​Institutional/individual applications are formalized through the application form available on the IDN website.​

Candidates will be informed about their admission to the course by email.​
