The Atlantic Centre, the Luso-American Development Foundation, and the National Defence Institute have partnered to create the FLAD Atlantic Security Award, which aims to promote research on security and defence issues in the Atlantic.
The first edition of this award will distinguish two proposals of high scientific merit, with applications from PhD researchers of all nationalities open until October 30, 2021, through the FLAD website (www.flad.pt/en/flad-atlantic-security-award-40000-euros-to-promote-research). The research projects will receive funding of €20,000 each and will be developed between March and December 2022.
The winners will be announced in January 2022. Preference will be given to Portuguese applicants for one of the awards.
