On July 1, the National Defence Institute held a webinar entitled 'NATO after the Hague Summit: Deterring and Defending for the future', dedicated to analyzing the results of the NATO summit held in The Hague. The event brought together a group of national and international experts in international security, who reflected on the future of deterrence and defense of the Atlantic Alliance.

In an international scenario marked by the persistence of the war in Ukraine, growing instability in the Middle East, and the redefinition of the United States' strategic priorities in the context of Euro-Atlantic security, it is essential to discuss the position of European allies in the Atlantic Alliance.

The first panel of the webinar focused on how European allies can strengthen their defense capabilities in the fields of protection of critical infrastructure protection, digital defense, and technological warfare of the future. A second panel addressed reinforcing transatlantic cohesion and the need to improve articulation between NATO's Northern and Southern flank strategies, and to strengthen NATO's global strategic partnerships with Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea.
