The Center for International Studies / Iscte - University Institute of Lisbon and the National Defence Institute promote the project “Human security and development in EU-Africa relations: migration and climate change”, co-financed by Camões, I.P.
This initiative aims to contribute to the interdisciplinary and intersectoral debate on the integration of national and European policies on human security and development and, within these, on the securitization of issues related to migration and climate change.
The project seeks to encourage the production and dissemination of knowledge on the integration of development, security, climate change and migration policies in Portuguese and European foreign policies and to stimulate the interest of students, researchers, and decision-makers in the subject.
