IDN edited No. 39 of the Athena Collection, entitled “O Brasil e os Desafios do Sistema Internacional” ("Brazil and the Challenges of the International System"), coordinated by Pedro Seabra and Carmen Fonseca.
The book is structured around five chapters, to which the introduction and conclusion are added. The chapters correspond to the case studies on Brazil's challenges in the international system, reflecting some of the priorities of its foreign policy, focusing essentially on the period corresponding to the validity of the PT governments, although they are not limited by it. In some cases a more detailed historical framework is made and in others more focus is given to the foresight scenarios. In general, a balance sheet is taken on what has been achieved by Brazil in the last 15 years, as well as the constraints and opportunities for Brazil's future performance in the international system.
