The publication of this IDN Cadernos, in digital format, dedicated to the 1st Seminar of the Atlantic Centre for Defence Capacity Building, aims to make public the valuable contributions collected during this event, which brought together, in Lisbon, about three dozen experts in Atlantic issues. It also puts in the public debate the vision of the Portuguese government and the Ministry of National Defence in particular on the genesis of this future Atlantic Centre, whose main vocation is to promote dialogue between all the countries bordering the Atlantic and to deepen defence cooperation, thus helping to ensure that the Atlantic remains an area of peace and cooperation for many years.
