Specialists from twenty nations and international organizations discussed “Multidimensional responses to complex emergencies in the Atlantic" at the Second Seminar of the Atlantic Centre, last October 16th. An event organized by the Ministry of National Defence and the Atlantic Centre with the cooperation of the Portuguese National Defence Institute (IDN).
The opening session was held by the Portuguese Minister of National Defence, João Gomes Cravinho, the Director of National Defence Institute, Helena Carreiras, LtGen Manuel Rafael Martins, Commander of the University Military Institute and BGen Nuno Lemos Pires, Coordinator of the Atlantic Centre (Opening Session board); followed by a Keynote Session held by António Costa Silva, António Costa Silva, Chairman of the Senior Management Committee of Partex.
Besides the Opening Session and Keynote Speech, there were two working sessions on “Good practices and lessons learned from crisis management” (speakers S1) and “Operational responses to Crises” (speakers S2).
