O Instituto da Defesa Nacional (IDN) irá assinalar o 20.º aniversário da aprovação da Resolução 1325 do Conselho de Segurança das Nações Unidas (CSNU) sobre “Mulheres, Paz e Segurança”, com o lançamento de um número comemorativo da revista Nação e Defesa sobre esta temática.
Gostaríamos de convidá-la/o a participar nesta edição destinada a reunir contributos dedicados ao balanço e à identificação dos desafios sobre o futuro da agenda “Mulheres, Paz e Segurança”. A Resolução 1325 veio conferir centralidade à perspectiva de género e à participação das mulheres nos esforços de prevenção e resolução de conflitos. Interessam-nos estudos teóricos e empíricos sobre a implementação da Resolução CSNU 1325 e demais Resoluções que a complementam; perspectivas de género nos vários contextos nacionais e internacionais; presença feminina nas forças armadas e em missões; análises sobre a promoção de iniciativas para formação e treino na perspectiva de género, entre outras experiências concretas de implementação da Resolução.
Os artigos devem ser entregues até 25 de setembro de 2020 para cristina.silva@defesa.pt ou idn.publicacoes@defesa.pt e observar as Normas de Colaboração da Nação e Defesa. Os artigos recebidos serão sujeitos a seleção e avaliação por pares (peer review), com vista à publicação no final de 2020.

Women, Peace and Security
The National Defense Institute will mark the 20th anniversary of the approval of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSC) on “Women, Peace and Security”, with the launch of a commemorative issue of the journal Nação e Defesa.
We would like to invite you to participate in this edition aimed at gathering contributions dedicated to the assessment and identification of challenges regarding the future of the “Women, Peace and Security” agenda. The United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 gave centrality to the gender perspective and the participation of women in conflict prevention and resolution efforts. We are interested in theoretical and empirical studies on the implementation of UNSC Resolution 1325 and other Resolutions that complement it; in gender perspectives in various national and international contexts; in the presence of women in armed forces and missions; in analysis on the promotion of education and training from a gender perspective, among other concrete experiences of implementation of the Resolution.
Articles must be delivered by September 25, 2020, to cristina.silva@defesa.pt or idn.publicacoes@defesa.pt and meet the requirements of Collaboration Norms of Nação e Defesa.
The articles received will be subject to selection and peer review, and should be published at the end of 2020.
